Dubai Tennis Championship

Hi everybody,

Tickets went on sale for the DDF Tennis Championship at 10am this morning on the Time Out Tickets website. I spent an hour frantically hitting the same buttons over and over with no luck at all until they said they'd sold out.

I'm curious to know if anyone managed to successfully buy tickets online for the men's semis or final? I've been told the only other way to get tickets is at the box office and there are huge queues. Does anybody know of anywhere else to get them?

The same thing happened last year as well! Tickets went on sale and they were sold out within a few hours!
Do you know anyone working for the sponsors, especially Barclays? They usually have a reserved quota and that's how I got my tickets the last time!

It's such a shame as my mum and a friend have timed their trip to Dubai specifically to go to the tennis and now won't have tickets! I got ladies' quarters, semis and finals tickets last year without any problems but I suppose the men's were always going to be more in demand. I will have to see if I can plug my contacts as you suggested!

If you just want to enjoy the atmosphere and watch some of the early rounds the first two days are usually easy to get into I`ve been for the past couple of years in the afternoons and the stadium was only half full.

For the initial rounds last year, I just turned up at the stadium and was able to buy the tickets easily

Unfortunately they don't arrive until the night before the men's semis so will miss all the build up. They were here last year and really enjoyed it as they're both keen players and follow the tour. The idea was for them to arrive just in time for the last 2 days of the men's tournament but never mind. I shall probably take them over to Irish Village anyway and enjoy the atmosphere even if we can't see the match

I am sure you will be able to buy some on Dubizzle nearer the time if you want to get them in.

Or there will also probably be ticket touts outside.
I was amazed to see this in the UAE.
