Default Job availability

Hi

Thanks for all the really good info on here!

I’d like to relocate to Dubai but it would seem that unless you’re already based there it’s not that easy anymore!

I’m an interior designer and all the jobs seem to want people with UAE experience or already living there.

Would it be advisable for me to come over for a week or so and look for a job? If I did what are the chances of me actually securing one? Can you easily make an appointment with a recruiter on short notice? (Just an idea please?)

I have registered my CV on all of the major recruitment sites so far. It hasn’t been that long so I’m hoping that something will still materialise.

I would assume that you have already checked the classifieds on dubizzle and gnads4u ?

The job market is not so good for the construction sector at least, yet if you are talented and do have a profile that would impress an would be recruiter, it shouldn't be a problem to land a job.

I think it's best to come over for a couple of weeks, have a nice hol, and introduce yourself to some companies while you are here.
