Default Emergency trip abroad between visas.

Hello guys,

Got something of an emergency situation and i don't know how to go about this. Thought i'd check here to see if anybody else could shed some light.

I've recently gotten my Dubai residence visa approved (employer changed my visa from RAK FZ to Dubai, which has been approved but not stamped yet).

Following the approval, i've given in my passport with visa for cancellation at RAK, and am waiting for the passport to come back to me so can i do a medical and get Dubai visa stamped.

Problem is that a very close member of the family back home has suddenly gone critical and i might have to travel in an emergency to go see them.. (i don't even want to think about the possibility of them going away, but i wanted to ask you guys for advice so i could plan). :s

Is there someway i can get a travel permit for such an emergency trip? I can show proof of my Dubai visa approval.

Any immediate help would be greatly appreciated at this rather worrying time for me.

Thanks.

First of all, what type of passport are you holding? You can always get your passport back from the PRO and take an emergency trip. You already have a RAK visa stamped on your passport so I doubt it will be an issue.

hmm thanks.. that's possible as well (unless the passport has already been submitted to immigration for the cancellation and is not in the PRO's hands).

and i have a Pakistani passport.

Usually with a Pakistani passport they give you a really hard time. Make sure your visa with RAK is not cancelled yet. If it is then you will have a big problem.
