Possibly relocating to Dubai

Hi, I m new to this board and would need some help

My boss recently asked me to relocate to Dubai to set up a new office there. Without knowing the place too much I have the following questions:

1) Is AED 26,000-28,000/month gonna be enough to support me and my gf? This is excluding any accommodation, transport allowance (car), insurance, etc that he will offer. My gf (and soon to be my wife I hope) will not be working but she is thinking to take some courses (English or Japanese) in college.

2) Any decent service apartment...in the city is fine but i definitely prefer it near the beach

3) What do people do at night or during the weekend? Is alcohol easy to get?

4) How's the weather like? I used to live in Arizona while I was in school so I supposed its similar in Dubai, no? I've been Dubai once but it was only like 25 degree or so.

I still haven't decided to take this opportunity or not....really depending on the salary and the expat package hes offering. But any help and advice much appreciated!

Have you read through previous threads & the stickys? This will answer many of your questions.

As Ogri says you should be married to live together and have to be for you to sponsor her.

Your questions regarding income and accommodation have been answered before.

What do people do in the evenings??? Same as in most cities - go to restaurants, bars, clubs, pubs, cinemas, shows, galleries etc.

The weather? - I strongly suggest you do some research about Dubai before considering moving here. It can reach 50 degrees in the summer, although everywhere is air-conditioned.
