Any advice - I postphoned my trip

I have a plane flight booked... but may not fly now!!

I have a contact who wants me to work with him for profit-sharing basis.

...on the one hand is great- but I've been reading these posts on income, housing, medical etc...

He offered me Housing & Car
... said I can buy ins./ medical.
He hasn't given me any indication of exactly what income I would expect. And he has not offered to provide me with any income, once I first get there, as I'm not an employee. I'd have to work something out with him..

All in all I'm not sure he knows what he's doing... and since I've never been there, I told him I'm not comfortable flying out to meet him at the moment, could we postphone it... (which he wasn't so happy with)

Believe me, it was difficult to do that, since I'd love to see Dubai...

He paid the plane fare, and then he suggested I might pay the hotel... (after we discussed he'd cover it) Then he came back to me a few hours later and said he'd cover it.... All the while, he's calling me at 4 am my time (Toronto Can). I asked him to call me after 3pm UAE time but he seems to call when he wants.... (not good for starting a business relationship)

So... in the meantime - I've been doing my homework, and now... I'm trusting my gut on perhaps looking for a better thing...

Does anyone have any comments on what I've just experienced? Does anyone have any advice on working as a partnership vs. an employee and perhaps what I could propose as my minimum expectations... (just as a
final note to this company). (or any other suggestions of what might help the situation out if it really is going to work)...

I'd like to design Spas, but also interested in Spas for Luxury Homes, etc, if anyone has any other connections, or suggestions...

It sounds to me like you know all this already but you just want someone to confirm it.

Thanks TheFiveJs....hmmm true, I'm trusting... but its still hard to decline!!
The more I research, the more interesting it becomes... and I'm being connected now with more people who've been to Dubai... I appreciate good advice... this forum is great...
