I need your opinion on whether, despite the economic downturn you would still consider it safe to invest in immovable property like an apartment.

As your status suggests you're in Afghanistan, do we assume you mean an apartment there?? LOL

Sorry. I meant investing in Dubai and specifically in the downtown Burj Dubai area. But then since I've posted this message in the Dubai forums I would have thought that its self explanatory.

I would never, in a million years invest in Dubai. Have already stated why on another thread, so maybe do a search. But then, I'm not a financial adviser, esate agent (LOL) or millionaire, so what would I know.

everyone is either pessimistic or optimistic so you need to make your own decision, I would say that in the right area and the right price its still a good investment - but im sure loads of people would say WTF, bull**** etc, its your opinion.... so you should do some research. but again the articles you will find are one extreme to the other.

all I know, is in business I go by...

''Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful''

and that has worked well for me in the past...

the question is how long is it going to take for the real estate sector to revive to a respectable level....
