Question Please Help...Urgent

Hi All,
My friend is got married in India and she is coming to Dubai on visit visa along with her husband who holds a Residence visa of UAE.
She wants to know while she is in Dubai for a month or two on visit visa , can her husband apply for her sponsorship in the Indian consulate (Dubai). does she have to mandatory be out of Dubai for her husband to sponsor and finish the application procedure??

All answers and suggestions appreciated

thanx.

From your post, it strikes me that 'your friend' has done absolutely zero research. The Indian Consulate has no authority to issue UAE residence visas; this is done by the Immigration Department here! There are loads of information re your question on this forum; please do a search.

There are a lot of requirements that need to be met prior to a visa being issued. It would be in your friend's interest to contact DNRD to clarify this so that she/ her husband is aware of what needs to be done.

As her husband is dealing with the paperwork, it would help if she chatted to him about her concerns. It may reassure her to know that he is dealing with everything.

There are two possible situation:

Visit Visa of lady issued ( sponsored) by husband- you can check it by seeing the actual in sponsor name column the husband name is mentioning or not?)
If this is case then:

After entering into UAE . the husband will arrange residency visa from DRND the following documents are required:

Marriage certificate attested by UAE consulate Delhi ( bombay etc) - You first get it notarized from Minstry of foreign affairs and then get it attested from UAE consulate at India..
passport copy and pictures..

After getting the residency visa go again for typing " change of status" she is not required to exit the country but her visa status will be changed..

Go for medical and then for visa stamping...

If in case the visit visa is taken from tours travelers / hotels then::

After entering into UAE . the husband will arrange residency visa from DRND the following documents are required:

Marriage certificate attested by UAE consulate Delhi ( bombay etc) - You first get it notarized from Minstry of foreign affairs and then get it attested from UAE consulate at India..
passport copy and pictures..

After getting the residency visa she needs to exit the country and re-enter on new visa .. easy procedure is to travel oman border with her husband exit and re-enter .. ( you dont have to go inside oman border exit/entry can take from gate itself) ( for details check oman visa run threads..)

when re-enter Go for medical and then for visa stamping...

(Hint- if entering on visit visa not sponsor from her husband then while entering first time do not go alnong with your husband at passport control desk.. she must be dealt separately ) ( she can travel with her husband but just take care on passport control desk after desk no problem)

Best of Luck!
