Default Tourist Visa to UAE

My wife and I have plans to drive to Dubai from Oman for the Eid holidays. I have been to Dubai on a number of occasions but this will be the first time for my wife. She has been working here in Oman for only 3 months now. Will this be an issue at the border while applying for a visa? Any advice/info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
