Default need some wheels...badly!!

Right peeps I need your help, time to earn your wage!!

I have been here nearly a week and have figured that it will be much easier for me to get a car rental sorted, the roads don't seem as bad as I thought they would be in all honesty.

Can anybody let me know of any cheap, cheap rental companies? Obviously not a bunch of cowboys but I don't want to pay any more than 1800 a month closer to 1600 if poss. Don't need anything special like but I want to get out and about on the weekends and taxis are a pain in the ass!

I posted about car rentals a few weeks back and somebody said to PM them as they know a cheap place but I can't remember who said it!!

Anyway any help much appreciated as always.

Why not buy an older motor? The first car I bought here was an older Jeep Grand Cherokee and was only AED18k.

Runs very well, and had no problems at all with it. Work it out, 18k over 12 months = 1500 a month and at least it's yours, so you can get something back on it when you sell it

Cheers for the reply, for one reason or another I'm not in a position to buy for at least two months. I was going to make do with cabs but I'm already getting annoyed with them!
