Default Where to live in Dubai?

My wife, young (8month) daughter and I plan to move to Dubai in mid September.

I will be working at the top end of the sheikh zayed road (finance and trade centres).

We are rather lost and need some advice on locations.

Preference is:
Close to work for me
Up to 140k would probably be ok
Plenty for wife and little girl to do
Don't want a pool, shared ok
Villa preferable

We've considered both the springs and Arabian ranches.. Travel concerns, though.

Any advice greatfully received!

From springs it should take you about 30 mins to get to work. Similarly from AR. You are not going to get stuck in major commuter traffic from either.
You would need a car ( or two cars if your wife drives) because there is not much public transport at either location.
