Hi, we are thinking about moving out to Dubai with my husbands job but would like some information first before we make the big step. What is it like for excersing dogs in Dubai, are they allowed in the parks or on the beach? Any relevant info would be appreciated.

Dogs are not allowed in parks or on the beach in Dubai unfortunately. Dubai is not very dog friendly. Having said that I brought my large dog from Australia with me. Where I live we have large lakes that I can walk him around. I know some people exercise their dogs in bits of the desert. I haven't been too keen to do this as he has an allergy to sand mites! In summer he has had to become an inside dog and only gets walked very late at night and early morning. Lots of people bring their dogs here and I really have not had any problems. You would have to factor in living in a villa though as do not think there are many (if any at all) apartments that allow dogs.
