Hi there, I am leaving on the 27th of October to start my new job in Dubai!
My questions:
Can I get Dirham at the airport when I arrive in Dubai?
I have to write 5 final exam papers at the RSA Embassy and I want to know about public transport: are there any taxis that I must avoid? Which taxis do you recommend? Are they expensive?

Yes you can get dirham at the airport, but, they don't have huge amounts, so you may need to change some of your money at the airport, then the remainder at one of the many exchange centres or banks.

As for taxis, Dubai Taxi is everwhere. As you leave the airport terminal, you will see plenty. The prices are reasonable, but you need to remember that they automatically add AED20 for starting the journey at the airport
