Default white goods and winter clothes???

We still have some last niggling questions, if anyone can help fill in the blanks it would help enormously! I will update the list I put together for Gazza with all responses, and add it to the sticky!

White goods: Am I right in thinking that many kitchens in dubai will not accomodate an american sized fridge freezer? & Has anyone got a view on dishwasher and washing machines?? Are they normally provided, or should we bring with (container space permitting)?

Finally, what did you do with all your winter clothing??? We are putting ours in the loft, but are unsure of how to package it for minimum 3-4 years of storage!

thanks as always for the helpful tips!

Just replied you on the other thread. We have huge fridge/freezer and ours fits. We live in the Meadows. 2 Bedroom Springs, probably not. Friends live in Umm Suqeim and have a big fridge. Remember, we got our villas a few years ago when things were alot cheaper, though.

I suppose it's going to be down to the cost of storage compared to the liklihood in 3-4 years you'll actually wear it. I donated a lot of stuff to the charity shop and put some stuff on Ebay.

As for long term storage I would go for air-sealed plastic bags, canoe bags are a possible alternative (but a little more expensive)

HTH

If you rent unfurnished, normally white goods here are provided, but it does depend upon the developer/landlord. You also may want consider if its worth paying for the shipping of those goods as electricl items a cheaper here.If you want to be safe, then I would say ship it.
