My wife and I are due to up and move to Cyprus in april next year and amongst other job opportunities I am looking for evening work as a door supervisor. I have a licence issued by the SIA which is the industry pre-requisite in the UK and I have experience working in Leeds and Wakefield, as well as work as an event steward.

I understand 'bouncers' of old have a reputation for hit first ask questions later however I am proud of my ability to defuse a situation with conflict management as opposed to jumping straight in with the physical side. Having said that I have the physical presence required and have trained in Jiu Jitsu ( for my own defence in the role).

I am very professional and polite and have the ability to speak to customers in a proper manner, not being agressive or patronising, but being assertive and reassuring where necessary. I am 6ft 5 inches tall and weigh just under 18 stone, so as a visual deterrent to trouble I have an advantage.

If anybody who visits the forum works in the leisure industry and knows of a role or somebody who runs an establishment please can you let me know the details? I am a very reliable person and feel I have a lot to offer any place that needs somebody to work on their doors.
