Default Salary Quote

Dear All,
Currently I am employed with Deloitte, Public Accounting Firm in New York City, USA.Have been with the firm for a little bit over two years in the Advisory Practice. I am thinking of moving to Cyprus and was wondering if anyone can give me an estimate salary I can be expecting when applying for new accounting/consultant positions in Cyprus. My office is not able to offer me a transfer , so I am on my own in a job search.
Thank you all!
Ana

Hi Ana

Good luck with your job hunt! As far as salary is concerned i believe there is a minimum of around500-600GBP a month depends where you are thinking of moving to the north or te south. here are some employment agencies operating here now too.

Hi Jon,

Thank you for the info.
I am looking to move to Nicosia, but from what I saw online for appartment rentals( which is not that much) the mothly rates are between 600-1000 Euros. How much is the minimum you need to be making in order to live "well" ( food, rent, car, vacation) in Nicosia?
Rifht now I am making close to $6k per month wo taxes. I thought I can find a job swith a similar/close salary there.

Thank you!
Ana

Hi Ana,

well dont bank on making that much over here!! Work is scarce and especially so if you do not speak greek. If you want to email directly then feel free. Also any reason to move to nicosia?

Hi Ana,

salary will depend on your qualifications. Qualified Accountants with experience are very much sought after here but dont expect NYC salaries. However you wont be paying anywhere near what you pay in NYC for housing or taxes. I suggest you contact the Deloitte and the other firms directly. It's best if you contact them while you are visiting here rather than from NY.

Good Luck
