Default Considering moving to Tala, need school advice

Hi,

My Husband, Son of 12 and I are investigating the possibility of moving to Tala.

I run a successful business which I can bring with me, my Husband is a joiner so he will have to find work as and when he can, however we have my salary and no debts and a small mortgage on our Cyprus property.

My main worry is my 12 year old Son, how do I go about contacting local schools, I would pay for private education, and getting visits arranged.

Also, anyone in the Tala area who can reassure me as to how he will transition, we moved from Nottingham to the Isle of Wight 10 years ago so have gone through the change from City to holiday destination already.

Any help or advice gratefully received.

Thanks
Sue

If you are considering private education then it isnt far from Tala to the International school if you go via Tremithousa so you don't get caught up in town traffic.

Take a look at this thread on schools.

Hi Sue

Here's the link for Paphos International school, you should contact them to make sure they have places as I've heard of students turned down. Entry is examined by English and Maths. Good Luck!

Hi

I know of a new English Private institute opening in Peyia which isn't far from Tala. It is run by English teachers with vast experiance, it is set in a Cypriot courtyard in the middle of the village, I went and had a look and liked what I saw is was beautiful, the number is 00357 96349273 forgot to say the fees are very reasonable to. Hope this helps all the best with the move

Cherie
