some advise on Moving to Cyprus

Hi My Husband and i are living/retired in Goa and have been for the last 4 years, we now feel we should and need to move closer to our family in the UK. We have been doing a lot of research on Northern Cyprus through the internet and just through this we are steadly falling in love with it.we would love to hear from anyone who can give us some practical advise on things like how easy is it to get a 8 month lease on a small property and what is the best area to look at and also more importently how easy is it to get a longer term Visa ?? do think we can live on £850 pm ?
and Basicaly any other advise as we are planning a holiday their later this year and will only have 2 wks so want to use our time constructivley.
