Default which area

as i am planning to make use of a Bus-Driver License when i move my family over, i was wondering if anyone could tell me where best to make our base, i have heard that either Limassol or Larnaca would be best as these would give me better access to the bus/tour companies.
Also, my wife is trained in interior design and would like to do something along these lines, what sort of opportunities exist?
Finally, our daughter is 6yo, so of course we would need to be close to a good school, has anyone any reccomendations because the greek schools will be out for the time-being due to her lack of the language.

Thx in advance

Brian

Default Limassol - A great central location

Hi Skippy, I moved to Limassol in early December last year and have found it to be a really good base. I have been able to apply for more jobs because of its central location and as Limassol is less seasonal than Paphos and Larnaca, there are more permanent positions offered. Your wife should'nt have too many problems getting a job if qualified, Cyprus Jobs have at least two Interior Design positions available today. Don't rule out Greek school because of the language barrier. My children 13 & 15 did'nt speak any Greek when we moved here, we looked at the private schools but they cost a small fortune and the kids don't learn Greek well enough. Our girls now go to the local Greek school and they get loads of extra help, they love it and their Greek is rapidly improving. I've had to learn how to swear in Greek so that I can keep an eye on what they are saying.

thanks Viki, that certainly makes it a lot easier to choose, as the last thing we want is to find ourselves without work out of season.
