Look on the bright side you should be able to get a lot more than £10k discount on the asking price as the housing market is dead in my part of Cyprus !

Its not just those of you wanting to move to the eurozone who have a problem, what about all the 1000s of expats who get UK pensions, UK earnings etc!! Its not good thats for sure!! We all have our fingers crossed!

Not all developers have put their prices up, in fact some are offering huge discounts to move the stock they have.
Do not pay the first price you are quoted. Most of the developers that we deal with are now willing to talk prices and also offer other incentives.
Many owners of resales are also wiling to take a drop on the price of their property so it is to some extent very much a buyers market here right now.

The small development we are in still has two houses yet to be sold ( he won't build until the contract is signed) and the developer is keen to get building, so it is very much a buyers market. When we bought, as the first buyer he threw in a lot of extras, including the swimming pool and changes to the internal plan, so you are in a very good position to get exactly what you want.
