Summer Safety: Heat and Beaches

With the recent and tragic death of an 11-month-old at a Paphos beach it prompted me to write a blog to remind people about safety tips in the heat and at the beach. With personal experience of heat exhaustion (wife) combined with the tragic news I just heard I felt it to be a very important topic, especially in Cyprus. (Maybe even a sticky!?)

What a terrible shame. The last thing I heard was that the baby's life had been saved, obviously he died later.
That stretch of beach is well known as a danger spot and we always warn people not to go into t he water there under any circumstances as the water can appear very calm but there as dangerous unseen undercurrents.
It is time that very large warning signs were erected there in several languages to stop any more deaths on this stretch.
