Default Stop this Bickering Between North and South

All,

We all have our own opinions about locations etc and for whatever reason best kept to ourselves.

This forum should be informative and assist all who participate. If someone wishes to know about a village, city, jobs, schools then lets just reply with a constructive comment and not a bias opinion. If you have a bias opinion then dont reply but keep it to yourself.

Whether Greek, Turkish, North or South we are all living and moving to Cyprus for a better life and for other personal reasons. So lets just enjoy and learn from the experiences of others and enjoy.

Thats what the forum is all about though ..... different opinions, and discussing them.

When one comes on here making doubtful comments they should be challenged otherwise new people coming on here will assume them to be correct. Don't you think so?

Default Avoid getting personal

Yes I agree to a certain extent but I felt that the argument was becoming personal. It would be interesting to hear other views.

I was just trying to ask a fairly straightforward question in an effort to counter some firm opinions that had been posted previously. Nothing personal was intended and I would welcome a well reasoned reply.

As Stravinsky says it's good to see both sides of an argument and let the reader make up their own minds.

I respect your opinion, but I find myself agreeing with the moderator. Even when living in Cyprus, politics plays a big part in everyday life, discussions around the dinner table, it is part of Cypriot (greek and turkish) culture. I am sure you would not be so easy to judge someones opinion if they, like my family had been made refugees and had their homes stolen from them, and I don't mean from Turkish Cypriots. Being Cypriot and a successful expat rests on tolerance and open debate.

Flouri1971.
I appreciate your comment and I congratulate you on your success.
I fully appreciate the aim of the forum and all I was just trying to say was that "people should not judge everybody by their own experiences" There is good and bad everywhere.

I'm with Stravinski (the oracle) on this one.... I totally agree with him that both Cyprus and Turkey are indeed evil places!

Hi Guys
Ive been in Cyprus for 12 years and I know a lot of the islands history.
Both sides have done great wrongs, its not a one sided thing.
To me, its all a load of POLITICS, so let your hair down, dont get involved and enjoy!

Nick
