My partner has just started a new job with a woodworking company what does he have to do regarding ID number for paying tax etc.

Congratulations to your other half. He needs to go to the local social insurance office and fill in a form. I don't know where that is in your area. In Larnaca its behind the main police station. When my daughter did it I think she needed a copy of her contract or letter of employment but she did it a few years ago and the system may have changed.

thanks for that I will go on line and find out where the insurance office is, I have been to the Immigration office and got him an appointment for an i.d. no

Pamie the social insurance office is on the same road as Cytanet. You go past Cytanet office away fro mthe town centre, watch out for the Alpha bank on the right before you get to the traffic lights.
The insurance office is around the side of the alpha bank.
