Hi
Join the club I am moving in July with my family and I have family that live there. I have found that the area of Paphos is very nice, the areas are Emba, Chloraka, Kissonerga,Sea Caves , Coral Bay And Peyia I am moving to the Coral Bay/Peyia area as there are more English there mixed with Cypriots who I find very nice people. Hope this helps and good luck

Congratulations on your move! As for renting, there are many nice areas away from the tourist spots, but what area of Cyprus are you interested in? I am in Paphos which is my preference.<snip>

There are plenty of nice villages and suburbs around paphos which are quiet but still close enough to where the action is.
Konia and Anavargos on the Eastern side as well as other villages a little further away. On the Western side there is Emba, Chloraka, Kissonerga and places such as Tala, Coral Bay and Peyia. However Coral bay and Peyia are very much full of holiday makers so probably not the best places for you.
We live in Konia which is perfect for us as it is quiet but very close to town.
