If your father is Cypriot Born then, Yes you will be collared for nation service!

I may be able to answer your questions: Are your parents Greek or Turkish? Also, what side of the Island do you seek to move to?

Thumbs up The North Side is Better

In your case, you probably should move to the North. The cost of living is cheaper and there are great English language schools. With the open border you can visit your parents as much as you want.

Property in the North is much cheaper. I bought from a company called (Deleted - no advertising on forum) -- you may want to check them out.

why would i want my kids to go to an English school? I'm moving to Cyprus to live the Cypriot way of life. you're obviously uninformed about the occupation of 1973. i can certainly inform you of many things as i was living there at the time and was one of many that became refuges. i lost family, and my family lost land which was simply taken in the occupation. so WHY would i want to move to the north?also property purchased in the north is cheaper because its not theirs to sell.

Default Stop this bickering between North and South

All,

We all have our own opinions about locations etc and for whatever reason best kept to ourselves.

This forum should be informative and assist all who participate. If someone wishes to know about a village, city, jobs, schools then lets just reply with a constructive comment and not a bias opinion. If you have a bias opinion then dont reply but keep it to yourself.

Whether Greek, Turkish, North or South we are all living and moving to Cyprus for a better life and for other personal reasons. So lets just enjoy and learn from the experiences of others and enjoy.
