Question PC use in cyprus?

Hi, my husband, myself and our daughter are making, a much look forward to, move to cyprus (paphos area) on 5th December 2007. Advice I was looking for is regarding my pc. I want to take my pc with us to cyprus, can anyone advise on any problems I could face with my pc working in cyprus.

Hi, you may find that Internet access is a bit hit and miss but if you have a laptop you should be able to find some free access points as well as the usual Internet cafes.

During the summer when the temperature increases you may find that it cuts out unexpectedly, this could be because the cooling is insufficient and you may need a better fan.

If you need any spare parts or need to enhance in any way you may find that the prices in Cyprus are more expensive than in the UK so if you do need anything then now is a good time to make the purchase.

We are also planning to move out to Cyprus fairly soon and as part of our preparation I've upgraded my PC and also got a small laptop so that I can still receive e-mail if we can't get access to the Internet where we are going to live.

Finally if you use something like Outlook to you may need to change a setting to allow you to send or reply to e-mails although you will probably be able to receive them.

Dave.

Here in Spain it gets pretty hot in the summer, and my PC was overheating. So I removed the side panel and bought a room fan which was placed against it, and this did the trick .... added advantage of blowing the dust away!
