thinking about moving to cyprus

hello,
Can anybody help.My wife and I would like to move to cyprus.The problem is that I am almost sixty and I am disabled , but not wheelchair bound.Iget the usual benifits for disabled in this country.What kind of help might I get in Cyprus.

I live in Cyprus, do you mean financial help? Ive just asked my work colleague, she doesnt think so. try asking the Cyprus High Commission in London. Just before I came to Cyprus they sent me some info about living in Cyprus which was quite helpful

Welcome to the expat forum, peterpie. You should check to see if you will continue to get your payments if you move, and whether they are reduced because you are not living in the UK. Also check to see what the medical insurance situation will be for you.

hi,
you will find it alot different than living and getting benefits in the UK.
Although Cyprus is in the EU they don't have to adhere to all the rules until2010 and believe me they don't follow hardly any of them.
Life here is great but the down side is they are a law unto themselves.
