From all of us who made our dream reality......use Del Boys mantra 'He who dares, wins'

(Del Boy, from Only Fools and Horses, a much loved TV comedy prog)

Hi Jane, For a single lady with no rent to pay it should be relatively easy to find some sort of job to pay your way until retirement pension kicks in.
Keep in touch with us here on the forum, there are other single ladies here such as Geraldine and Leesa who have made it work for them and I am sure they will have plenty of information and encouragement for you.
I don't know how easy it would be to get childminding work but I am sure there is something out there for you.

Veronica

I agree with the other recommendations to follow your dream but with a caution. Don't rush to buy a house. There are loads of rental properties available at very realistic prices. Rent for a year and then decide if you want to buy, by that time you will have learnt a lot about Cyprus, employment, where you prefer to live and so on.

Pete
