Default Looking to Retire

Hello!

I am retiring in the next year or so and looking to leave England behind. I am really drawn to Cyprus from all I have read and heard. I think I would like to live in southern Cyprus and would welcome any tips as to which parts would be best so I can start visiting and looking around!

Although I am retiring in fact, I am not particularly retiring in nature, and hope to find somewhere to settle which has established clubs and some sort of social life for people of my age. I am a single and very independent female, and am a bit concerned in case there would be problems in making friends, etc, caused by being solo.

Having said that, I am not looking for late in life romance, just friendship and like-minded companions when I feel like socialising!

Any comments or information would be very welcome.

Cheers!

Hi there Catperson, you are correct in thinking that south Cyprus is the place to retire. Sylvia and I are retiring in Pissouri and the people you should contact are Atlas International as they will tend to all your needs and give you an excellent inspection trip. Just have a look at Pissouri Pinebay Villas its the estate with everything. Afterall we will be there. Len and Syl.

hi catperson well cyprus is the place for you, there lots of cats lol.have a look at paphos yes it is getting a bit built up but you only have to go out of town by 15mins where its small villadges are great peacfull but the things you need day to dayare there i think as you get older you need to get to docs, banks, shops, clubs ect. but short drive back to peace. and you have to think that some times you will be not be abl to drive .buses around paphos area are ok and the taxies are ok.dont go on insectiontrip . you will be tied to them and be sold adream that may not be right for you.go stay as long as you can.stay self catering gives you more of a feel.i would stay away from big companys.you are only anumber. we went after alot of looking with newhomecyprus. and where very happy with there servis and recomend them to all.
