Default Buying a house in Cyprus

What does it take to buy a house in Cyprus? How much do they cost? Do you need to be a citizen?

Have you ever bought a house in Cyprus?

Default Buying in Cyprus

Buying in Cyprus is pretty much the same as buying in the UK as they are governed by UK laws.

The price will depend on what you want and what part of the island you go to. I think the East side is still a bit cheaper than the West but it is easier to get a job the whole year round in places like Paphos.

I have a brand new 2 bed detached villa for sale that has never been lived in. We are asking £137,000. ono Take a look at the classified section.

Default Price reduced

I think I'm going to have to change my name to 'Unhappy' because we have very reluctantly had to return to the UK and were not liking it one bit. The house prices here are barmy and all the properties we've viewed so far have been so dark inside that you need the light on to see where your going. This is in the summer time so what is it going to be like in the winter? I don't remember it being like this.

Anyway, I've had my moan. Now on to the new price of my beautiful villa. The price now is £135,000. ono as we need to put down a deposit on a semi-dark house that we viewed.

If in Cyprus its worth viewing. From the inside you will fall in love with it. The outside needs a personal touch of plants, shrubs etc and with views like that a jacuzzi over looking the mountains with Green Land that no one can build on in front.

Buying a house in Cypress depends if your an EU member then no problems. Since I am an American myself it looks like I have to apply the become a Resident for retirement. After becoming a resident it is my understand at that time I can buy a house and occupy it.

Anyone can buy a house here...................... just be very careful that you are not being ripped off, do not use solicitor recommended by developer.

(un)Happy, check the southeast of England. Prices are more reasonable here and we just bought a three-bedroom that's bright and beautiful. Don't let people scare you about crime in Hastings. The reputation is way overblown. Sorry about your forced return!
