Hi, I've had a whirlwind month of a job offer and for speed and to test the water out there, I've applied for a one year temporary
A lot of the FAQ pages I've read on various sites don't really mention much about one year plans. I know the average time of process is a month, but I will need a labour market check as my job isn't on the skills list, do I get allocated a case officer within 14days?
They only got my application on the 11th Feb, so I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, but just wondered is anyone else can tell me about their experience
Thanks, Cara :)

With a job offer and the fact that you have made a visa application, you will be assigned a case officer for sure but unsure of the time period. If it is stated somewhere - maybe in Immigration's Operations Manual it'll be a best endeavors and not a rule.
Since you are applying because of a job offer your application will certainly be more of a priority.
Temp work visas can be turned around really quickly if you have everything in place and ready to provide to Immigration - sometimes within a week!!!

Eeek, as much as I want to get out there, I do need to sort out a lot of stuff over here yet! According to the immigration site, 95% of temps are issued within 25 days, but I will be cautious and think I may be in the other 5%, if they do the labour check ;)
Exciting times. Thanks!
