Hi,

It is clearly mentioned in the NZ Immigration website that you require at least 2 years work experience to apply for Silver Fern Job Search Visa.
If you need additional information please go through the information given in below link.

Silver Fern Job Search Visa

Another information is that a new process will be followed from this year. However there will be no change to the minimum requirements that has to be met to apply. Till last year SFV was opened in April. Not sure about the opening dates for this year though.

Thanks!!

The Silver Fern Job Search visa is for highly skilled people with recognised qualifications. In my opinion, work experience is compulsory for only those who are having a trade qualification (equivalent to level 4-6). Since you are having a tertiary education which is equivalent to level 7, experience is not required as long as your qualifications are recognized by NZQA and certify you it is equivalent to a New Zealand bachelor’s degree (level 7) or higher.
Regarding the NZQA, I am not sure if you are exempted or not since you did not study in Anna University directly, but in one of the affiliated colleges. So you have to check whether that college is in the exemption list. if not, you have to undergo NZQA assessment. you will be given 3 months time to submit your documents if you are selected. Good luck

No one knows the date Silver Fern will open in 2014. We are awaiting further information from Immigration on the revised process and start date, however it is unlikely to be the end of April as in the past ?

You need not apply for NZQA assessment until you have been selected into the scheme. Doing so before selection may be a waste of money if you don't get selected.
You will have 3 or 4 months after selection to provide all the necessary evidence which allows ample time to get NZQA assessment, police certificates etc. etc.
However, it appears you may not need assessment anyway if your qualification is exempt.

You only need work experience (minimum 2 years) if you have a trade qualification only.

If you have the minimum tertiary qualification of BE or higher then post qualification work experience is not necessary.

So I assume you mean a job in Aeronautical Engineering ?
I'd say your best bet is the NZ Air Force however you'll have to have resident status for that.
Next best bet is gonna be an airline maybe - Air New Zealand, Jetstar etc. Probably all offices in Auckland ?
I'd say jobs in this field are gonna be few and far between.

Have a look on www.seek.co.nz
There are a few but not many. Majority of them are for Australia.
The job title may be slightly different here though ?
