Default EOI for 130 + no job offer

Hi,
Does anyone of you know whether there are any chances for EOI to be invited with 130 but no job offer?

All i see in the previous selection history is one of the below, in which I donot fit in anything!!

All EOIs with a points total of 140 or more.

All those with a job or job offer that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140 points.

All those claiming 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage that had a points total of 135 or more but less than 140.

Has anyone received any ITA so far? Please share!!

Thanks,
PJS

Hi Pjs,

The following are the additional selection criteria for EOI selection as per Amendment Circular No. 2013/11, if there is an additional places exist after regular selection criteria.

SM3.15.1 Additional selection criteria
a. The following additional selection criteria apply for the purposes of SM3.15(d), for selections from the Pool occurring until 31 January 2014 inclusive.
b. EOIs will be selected by applying the criteria in the order in which they appear in (i) – (iv), to the extent necessary to satisfy any exercise of the discretion under SM3.15 (d):
i. EOIs that include 15 points for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage (in descending order of their points total);
ii. EOIs that include 10 points for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage (in descending order of their points total);
iii. EOIs that include 10 points for a qualification in an area of absolute skills shortage (in descending order of their points total);
iv. the points total of EOIs not meeting any of the criteria in (i) – (iii) (in descending order).

So you may have chances till 31st of Jan 2014 if option I to iv applicable for you but it is not 100% guaranteed. INZ may set new additional selection criteria after 31st Jan 2014 with prior notice.

Also I have a doubt. How are the applications selected under this criteria? Do you know if there is an option to identify where we rank among the other candidates?

As per my understanding and as per the info from INZ website, we cannot see the ranking of our EOI. It is fully depends on your luck nothing else. I hope you will be the lucky one.

Are you claimed under Absolute skill area (LTSSL occupation) and how much points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage?

Have you submitted your EOI or yet to do?, because there is a pool draw by tomorrow and still 3 more selection exist till 31st Jan 13.

Hello - I was selected 2 weeks ago with 135 points and no job offer, so it is possible. I believe this is the first time they have dipped into the 'under 140 or with no job' pool for a while. so we were lucky. We had only been submitted 15 days before being picked
