New Zealand visa application with an Australian Assessment

If someone could help me on one specific issue I would really appreciate.

New Zealand and Australia have an agreement called TTMRA, that allows "people registered to practice an occupation in one country are entitled to register to practice the equivalent occupation in the other country without the need to undergo further testing or examination"

My question is, can I use my positive assessment of my qualification from an Australian authority to apply for an EOI and a New Zealand visa without having to obtain an assessment in the respective New Zealand's Authority?

Since the designation of the occupation are the same in both countries will the New Zealand's immigration department accept the letter from the Australian Authority in a visa application or will they require a letter from the respective NZ's Institution?

I presume that someone that have worked in both these countries had the same problem.... Any idea on this?

Thks

I have no idea. But each country they have its own way to assess your skill, and they also need to keep its business going up. So they may prefer what they assess I think

You will find that skills aren't assessed for NZ migration like they are in Australia.
All Immigration NZ are keen on is assessment of claimed qualifications to ensure the study course period and content etc meets the necessary equivalent level in NZ.
A multitude of qualifications the world over have already been assessed by the appropriate NZ department and are now exempt from assessment but there are still many that will need assessment.
All qualification assessments are handled by NZQA.
You can opt to supply work experience evidence also when having qualifications assessed as this info can assist NZQA in their assessment process, however the actual work experience will not be assessed in its own right.

If you are in an occupation that requires professional registration in NZ then you will need to approach the appropriate board that deals with your occupation and provide the necessary evidence.
These boards will not bypass their own assessment of your skills, qualifications and work experience just because you've had it done in another country. They may take that report into account but they will carry out their own assessment as appropriate and inform you of the position you are in and the process you will need to follow in order to get the professional registration.
