my family and i are moving to BC next year on temporary work permit. do we need to get a private medical aid or are we covered by the "msp"? and is it immediate and are there any waiting periods or exclusions? thanks so much

If I were you, Instead of relying on info from people on here which may, or may not be accurate, you should contact MSP of BC directly....

There is a waiting period before you can enroll. It is the remainder of the month in which you arrive plus two more months, so you should obtain private coverage for the period.
