Default Help Needed re TWP & SNIP

Hi, saw a thread earlier but it didn't really help.

We have a twp issued from a LMO in AB and my hubby is working with them for about 2 weeks now, but he has a job offer from SK and the employer there wants us to go through the SNIP program as he said that it is a far superior process than the LMO process for permanent residency. does anyone know is there a logistical issue between provinces i.e. if you are working on a twp and have accepted a job in AB and then decide to apply through SNIP for residency in SK, will they turn you down because you have already got a twp for AB or will they revoke your current twp or fail to renew it?? Any ideas?

Just read that back and it sounds rediculous! However, I would still like to know!

You can read information on the SINP here Saskatchewan Immigration - Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program

I am not sure what category you would apply under but from what I can tell most of them require you to be working for that SK employer for at least 6 months before applying for SINP. But please do read the information yourself as you know what your situation is and maybe it will be different for you. So it may be that the SK employer still has to get a LMO for you. This is a relatively simple process for them and they just have to show that they have tried to recruit a Canadian but were unable to. Once they have the LMO, you then apply to change your work visa to a new employer. Then 6 months later, you apply for SINP.

But the Sk employer is right in terms of the LMO or TWP will not get you PR, only the SINP will. However, you still need a TWP while you apply for PR through SINP as the process from SINP application to PR is usually about 12 months.

Anyway, since you are in Canada already, it shouldn't be too hard to ring up CIC or SINP for further clarification.
