Default Indefinite Leave to Remain Rule Change Question

Hi everyone,
I'm coming up on my five year mark, which is to say I'll have had my work permit for five years by mid-December and I'd like to apply for indefinite leave to remain. I've already passed my Life in the UK test, and my work permit doesn't expire until May, so I seem to be in pretty good shape. My only concern is the rule change that states I need to meet the minimum income requirement for my job based on the code of practice listings. I carry out research for a psychologist, and my official job title is Junior Research Officer, but there isn't a specific listing for such a post in any of the C of P entries. The closest I found was SOC 2329, which is for 'Researchers not elsewhere classified.' The only problem is that the description says the following:
'
Named researchers' are defined as those whose employment is linked to
specific research grants awarded to Higher Education Institutions or Research
Institutes by external organisations. They will be named specifically on the
research grant because their knowledge and expertise in the relevant field
means they are the only person able to undertake the research. If they are
unable to come to the UK the research grant would be cancelled.

You must, on request, provide a copy of the grant papers naming the
individual to demonstrate that the resident labour market test has been met.

My position isn't funded by a grant, but since this is the closest thing to what I do, is it reasonable to use SOC 2329 as a salary reference?
They certainly have complicated matters...
Thanks to any and all who can help.
