good free Euro Banks with a french debit card?

Does anyone know a bank service like in the UK, for free, but in Euros, that whill give me a visa debit card?



boursorama bank is a good bank, but i left my card in a phonebooth and reported it 2 days too late, after it had been handed in to police safe and sound. they are refusing to send me a new one unless i put 5000 euros into my bank account, which i can't do at the moment.

how do i get cash out of my online bank if i only have a chequebook?

I don't need an overdraft limit but i need a visa card, in the uk they let you open a bank account provided you are not on any red lists, free of charge. in france a bank costs 70-100 pounds a year, which is quite steep! i have zero debts and just want a french credit card without paying 100 a year for it.

Depending on the services you need, a French bank account should only cost you 70 - 80 euros a year - and that's if you want Internet access to your account (which runs about 36€ a year). But I'm afraid a free French account is something of a lost cause. For a Visa or Mastercard attached to the account, you're looking at a minimum of 30 years a year.

You can get a "free" account with no credit card - only a bank machine card. In that case, to get cash you'd have to go to a bank machine to take it out directly from your account. You might ask Boursarama if they can give you a simple bank machine card without the big deposit.
