Hi all !
I certainly don't and won't use primark !
If anyone saw the programme you would be disgusted.
Not just the fact that kids as young as 5yrs are sewing on sequins, but the squallor they have to work in !
The women in my work used to say I was too fussy, because I wash everything i buy, from anywhere before I wear it.........now they know why.
Rats, fleas and god only knows what else !
I personally know a girl who lost part of her nipple........she bought fancy lacey bra & pants from a market in Thailand, wore them the same night she bought them, slept in them.......ended up some sort of worm burrrowed into her nipple, what a mess she was in ! That was many years ago, and I just wash everything first since i saw that no matter wether it M&S or Matalan.

sassafras is on a distinguished road

Thumbs up hippie sandals and stuff

Jenny,

I know where you're coming from. I am KY born and bred and I am used to very good shopping in the Cincinnati area. When I moved here about 3 years ago I suffered from sticker shock and I didn't buy a single thing for over a year. Now living in Bristol too and have learned to deal.

I have found that ASDA (yes, horrible Walmart) at Cribbs has cheapie t-shirt packs and you'll find a bigger variety in the men's dept (just think size small - whatever). ASDA also has cheapie shoes and I've seen the hippie sandals there in previous summers.

Also, I've found Primark at Broadmead has lots of cheap stuff - the quality is the pitts (I usually just leave after 30 seconds) but if you don't mind it's a winner. My fave place for shopping is TK Maxx - TJ Maxx's UK brother. Pretty much the same as US version - unique stuff - and also good quality. Plus, everything's a nickel by UK standards. There's one in Broadmead and one in Cribbs.

Good luck

Well Elphaba, I guess you had to be there !
It is very true, I saw it first hand myself, and I am sure Tracy is still not laughing after losing a bit of her nipple at the age of 23 !

Parasitic larvae of certain flies do go under your skin and develop there.

This is an issue mostly in Africa and often is undiagnosed early in other countries because doctors back home are not familiar with these conditions.
