Default Advice where to live

I am a dual citizen of the US and the UK and I am thinking of relocating. I am retired so I can live *anywhere* but of course I am limited by my income which is about $3300.00 tax free dollars a month. I want to be near some public transportation and I do like to shop.

The choice is very wide, so it really depends what you want and how much you have.

If you live in a fishing village or coastal town some of them are very afordable, if you want culture London would be great but with your level of income and if you can't buy a property outright, then you would have to live in our of the not so good parts of town...

In dollars it sounds a lot, but in pounds (1,650) it is a different story. You would definitely have to move away from London and the suburbs if you want to have a fairly decent standard of living. Once you can give us an idea of an area, I am sure we can give you some more advice.

With $3,300 in Argentina, you can live like a king - I read that you can get a retirement visa with an income of only $600 per month.........................

Regards

Michelle

I tend to stay home but I'm willing to commute if I really wanted to go to the opera otherwise a pub and an nice Anglo-catholic church would be fine. I have some saving so I could drop 100,000 on a home (that is *all* my savings so I would hate so spend it all). FYI I do speak Spanish (my mother was Puerto Rican) but I'm not really interested in living in Argentina.

You say you have a 100,000 - whether you mean pounds or dollars, it won't be enough to buy you a garden shed in the UK.........................

Even in East London, you won't find anything for 100,000 pounds (if indeed the OP has 100,000 pounds or it could be 100,000 dollars!).
