Default Interesting article in the paper

Over 200,000 Britons fleeing the UK each year as record 160,000 foreigners are granted citizenship | Mail Online

Seems more and more are getting out the Uk , i cant think why anyone would want to

its worth a read but it is the Daily mail and so you will no doubt think its all made up.

My thoughts are there is a gigantic swap of type or British Citizens happening ,

The decent people with money and skills and good looks are going outwards

replaced with people grasping to grab what they can in social benefits and housing and work etc , hmmmmmm a pretty bad swap for any country if you ask me

Moved this to the UK forum because that seemed more appropriate.

I like the idea of good looks as in immigration requirement. In a fantasy country where I made all the rules, the immigrants would all be good looking, come from countries with good local cuisine, know how to cook it, and want to open restaurants.

Seriously, that makes me wonder what the net immigration situation is. How many people leave in a year compared to how many arrive? And where would you get the departure numbers?

The last Tory government abolished border controls at the port of departure, so the country pretty much has no statistics about people leaving the country.

But it is the Daily Mail, and we have 80000 Brits in Moscow, so maybe they are hopping to convince them to stay there for some obscure reason

A few less rabid Man U or Chelsea fans - how fabulous. That has to make the UK a better place.
