Hi Pelocha !
Where are you staying in Glasgow ? And what do you think of it ?
The west end is lively and has always been my favourite area (I'm from that end) but it was always famous for it's culture due to the university, it's mix of people and I have got to say great socially in the 80's, but like everything else it's kind of spoiled now and could not live there anymore !
In fact i was in Glasgow at the weekend and just found people to be pushy and rude......not for me anymore.

I used to live in Duke street...and had a bad experience...so i moved to the west end its a better area indeed, i see less weird people and so and i feel safer

Hola Pelocha,
That was a good move.......the East end has never been a good place !
Like I said in my earlier post, I used to love going out at the weekends to the westend, particularly Byres Road. People are from all over the world and bigotry didn't seem to exist there ! But I'll bet you are finding it pretty expensive especially renting a property you get very little for your money.
My son is in Spain (Albacete) he now lives and works there, he has a spanish fiancee who he met here 4yrs ago when she came to train as a chef, he seems very happy and settled.
We are hoping to move to either Spain or Greece, hopefully by spring next year, depending on finding work of course, which is proving very difficult !
If I can help with any questions you have....feel free to ask, although i now live in the Highlands, north of Inverness. I have been here for 9 years, so a lot has changed in Glasgow since I lived there.
