Default Moving to UK

I am presently working in Dubai. Having two boys of the age 9 and 6 I am planning to move to the UK. We are EU citizens born and brought up in India. Would anyone suggest a safe place in UK where I could settle. What would be a decent salary one would need to earn to live a comfortable life. Is Isleworth a good place? I am looking to move next year with my family. Could you recommend me a place? I am presently working as an Assets Executive for a government firm but am sure will not be able to secure similar positions as rules in Middleeast a different to the West.
What is the present job scenario in UK. Is the economy showing positive signs. Can you also advise what one needs to go when one gets there.

Its okay if you earn around 15000 pounds. Due to the current recession, finding jobs in the UK has become very difficult. Just wait for the recession to go.

Britain still seems to be in crisis, jobs are scarce and apparently there is still mass unemployment. I dont know about Isleworth, but I think being near to a major town and being further south is possibly the best place to be looking for employment. As for pay, well the pay tends to be higher in and arround London, but then those areas also tend to have a higher cost of living

What are you talking about? £15000 is a very low salary, specially with two children!

The police just launched a new website with crime statistics, you can look for Isleworth:

Crime mapping for English and Welsh police forces - CrimeMapper

I always recommend to live close to were you work, it saves you time and money.

What is a good salary? How long is a piece of thread? Sorry, but your question is nonsensical, only you know what needs you have, once you put those down in paper you can investigate in the net how much everything you need or want will cost you.

The economic situation is horrible, while other countries are now out of recession the UK remains in a slump and unemployment is still raising.

1500 pounds may just about cover the rent/mortgage repayments and council tax if you're lucky! I think to live comfortably you need double that, cos you also have to pay tax and national insurance etc!
