Mechanical Engineer Looking for a Job in the UK.

I am a 25 year old Mechanical Engineer currently living and working in Seattle Washington. While in school I studied abroad in London and have been interested in working in the UK ever since. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have been working as a Building (HVAC) Design Engineer and Construction Project Manager for the last three years.
Unfortunately for me, under the new "Highly Skilled Migrant" Visa program I do not qualify for a work visa without an employer sponsor.
I’ve submitted my CV to every London based engineering recruitment agency I could find, but have had no success thus far. If there is anyone out there who can help me find a sponsor, or if anyone has any advice for a US citizen looking to become an ExPat in the UK, I would really appreciate it.
