Default Biometrics Appointment

We are applying in Melbourne, Australia. We are currently waiting on a final bit of information about accommodation in the UK before we can finish our online application for unmarried partner visa.

Is there anyway to do the biometrics appointment ahead of time so onces we have the final bits of information we can just send it off rather then having to setup and wait for an appointment?

I tried phoning the British embassy here in Melbourne but they didn't seem to have a line which you could talk to any one in person.

From what I'm aware of, you can't.
You can only set the appointment up during the process of the online application and paying.

Well that's how it was for me when I did my spouse visa

No worries
I had to take in my online application after printing it out for them to stamp it.
So it looks like you will have to wait.

Do you have to have all the supporting documentation ready as well for the biometrics appointment?

btw another quick question - for the UK Partner Visa does this seem like the right address to send it all too?
UK Visas and Immigration,
GPO Box 2718,
Sydney, NSW, 2001.

We will then forward your application to our visa processing hub at the British Embassy in Manila, the Philippines.
The address comes from this link: UK Border Agency | Australia

but it appears to be just for visa in general and not specifically spouse visa which I thought might be processed differently.

Unfortunately as we are waiting on a final bit of information we can't proceed with online application so it makes it hard to find out what else needs to be done after and get it prepared ahead of time.

I had to take my passport and printed online application. Nothing else from memory. It tells you at the end of it as to what you need to take along.

I'm not sure for the Aussie address sorry.
Here in NZ we had to first send ours to an address here and then they forward it onto Manila.
Manila is where they process all visas for NZ, Auss and other countries.

When you have done your online application and paid etc, keep an eye out on what info you are then given as to where to send it. I would think what you have posted is correct but it pays to make sure it all matches.
