Default I have plans, but previous visa might ruin things

I previously lived in the UK. I was married at the time and in the UK on student visa. My wife threw me out after some problems we were having, and I was forced to return to Texas. She was the dependent, and was eventually forced to return to the US.

I really want to return at some point. Here's my question...

Is my situation unresolveable? I heard I couldn't return to the UK at all, let alone get a visa. Will the British Govt refuse to issue me a visa based on the assumption that I abandoned a dependent in the UK?

Hi, Doug! I really am not certain about your situation. I think your best bet would be to look on the Home Office website. It might be able to give you some answers. If not, you might be able to contact someone there who can answer you questions. Good luck!
