Non Domicile Tax Question

I have lived in the UK for more than 7 years and therefore will now have to decare my worldwide income (for the 2008 tax year). I don't make enough to pay the L30,000 remittence tax.

I have a few offshore accounts in the Channel Islands, some are on term deposit. How will I declare the interest on these accounts?

For example, one account was on deposit from October 2006 to October 2008. Do I ask my bank to give me a statement of the interest earned ONLY after April 5, 2008 and add that to my tax return for 2008/9?

I am sorry if this has been posted before, but I cannot seem to find anything that answers this question specifically.

By the way, I have not remitted any of the capital or interest to the UK, it's all till offshore.
