American Divorcing Brit in England

Hi, I am new to the forum. Have lived in England for seven years and am faced with a pending divorce. I am currently trying to collect information to guide me on what to do and how to handle everything properly. Can anyone offer any advice, or perhaps even gone thru this yourself? I am not sure where to begin on this forum, as I couldn't find anything on an American divorcing a Brit in the UK.
