Arrow Test - Life in the UK

Hello everybody

Just a minor inquiry regarding the life in the UK test.

I will hopefully apply for ILR in January 2014. Do you think if I take the test now it would be valid when I need it? (More than a year from now)

I would like to take the test now that I have the available time.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Yes, do it now. It has no expiry time.

That was my question as well... So you can take the test years in advance and it's still good?

Yes, as the rules stand. The government has said it intends to make the test more difficult so I'd get it out of the way as soon as you can!

That's what no expiry means.

The Stationery Office has already published the new 2012 guides (saw them on Amazon yesterday). That's been enough to panic my partner into getting the thing over and done with!

The details of the new revised test haven't yet been announced (due sometime in the autumn), so what you saw was just an updated version of 2nd edition from 2007, which remains current.
All we have to go by is a press announcement about impending changes, such as BBC News - Theresa May 'planning changes to immigrant test'
