Australian + Swiss = UK (Family permit questions)

Hi!

This website has been rather helpful but I still have some questions to our rather unique situation.

Basically! I am australian and my wife (newly wed in Denmark 2 days ago) is Swiss. (Couldn't get married anywhere else due to endless bureaucracy.)

My wife (swiss national) is studying in the UK in London. I am planning on applying for a Family permit from Switzerland to come and stay in London with her. Here are my questions:

1) The MA she's doing will finish in October so quite soon — is that an issue?

2) What are the financial requirements? She has been financially supported by her parents throughout the year (so no job) and I left my job in Australia and intend to find a new one in London so currently no income either. Will that be an issue? (we will both receive financial help from our families until things are settled)

3) I have a visiting visa for the Schengen area and will be applying for the permit from Switzerland. Is that ok? Also, will I be able to go to London already (on my visiting visa) as my application is being processed and wait for an answer there.
