Default Just shoot me now

So a week ago I ordered original bank statements with my bank company, since I've gone all paperless and all my statements are online. I get home today from work and find a large envelope with photocopies of my statements, I about flipped out!! Not to mention, they charged me $30 bucks of what I thought was original statements. Ughhhh so, I have my printed copies from my online account and statements for the past 6 months from my bank, their barcoded on the side but are in black and white.

Is this acceptable? My bank told me on the phone earlier, that there is NO WAY to reprint original statements. What is a girl to do.

Well when I went to my bank they just printed out copies of my bank statements as well, but they didn't charge me. I also asked them to write a letter saying how long I've been a member of the bank, that I'm in good standing with them, and I also asked them to notarise my letter stating that those copies were original from the bank, even though they printed them in black and white. I sent it in like that and no problems yet. Hope this helps!

Both of my banks only do black and white statements. I believe this might be the norm. My banks will not under any circumstances, I think unless under a court order norterize or mark print offs in any way.

I understand being worried about fraud, but there really has to be a better way in this all electronic world.

According to your other thread you are still in the process and haven't received a visa yet.

Well my bank wasn't going to notarise the letter at first, my bank told me to go to a law firm and have them print up a notary form so I went to a law firm told them the situation, the law firm just provided the right sayings on a print up for the bank, I went back to the bank, gave them the notary paper to stamp and sign saying everything was true and correct. It can be done, I did it. Some banks will notarise right then and there and my bank did once I had the correct notary form. Just be sure to ask them. I just had the secretary do the notary form, it didn't take very long. Just explain your situation and hopefully they can help.

Yep! Just giving my opinion on what I did! I used a service too and an immigration solicitor from the UK, both told me what I did would be fine and that I should have no problems!

As you haven't received a visa yet, it's a little misleading to say it's "no problem".

I had my bank print off my statements and they were in black and white! I also printed off a couple statements from both my husbands and my banks online, those were in black and white as well. None of ours were signed by the bank, stamped or notorized! UKBA accepted them as proof and I was granted my spousal visa last month!! Hope that helps!
